Flint Young Professionals Events

Social Events

Our social events connect FYP members with other members and non-members in social settings, while helping to foster and develop long-term personal and professional relationships. Events also offer access to new and unique venues throughout the city.  Business owners are able to showcase their facilities for these FYP events.  Past venues have included Maxie’s Food and Spirits and Blackstones both in Flint.  Business owners that are interested in hosting one of the monthly social events should contact FYP for more information on event sponsorship.

Civic Events

Our Civic events provide FYP members with access to volunteer opportunities with non-profit organizations in need.

The FYP Foundation was created to manage and distribute proceeds from select FYP events and fundraising activities in order to benefit other Flint-centric, non-profit organizations, particularly those with young professional leadership or involvement.   Proceeds from the monthly social events help to fund community clean-ups and other volunteer efforts.

A neighborhood clean-up was held in Flint on September 23 at a lot on Dayton Avenue and Avenue A in Flint.  Members joined efforts to clean up a lot owned by the Genesee County Land Bank to help make a difference in the community.

FYP provides business, social networking, and leadership development for young professionals from 21 to approximately 40 years of age.

With our focus on attracting and retaining young professional talent in Flint Michigan, we help provide our members with strong ties to the community and the ability to create long term business and personal relationships.
